Review: Jim’s Country Style Restaurant
This is a review of Jim’s Country Style Restaurant in Pleasanton, Ca. Every so often I need to go to Livermore, Ca. to take care of business. And as is often the case my wife is along for the ride. So after we’ve taken care of business it’s time for some lunch. On one such occasion, we went to this diner based on some reviews that I had read on Yelp.
Well, it’s been awhile since I first set foot in their business and we have eaten there three times. So I think it’s time to review this little jewel. They are located at 5400 Sunol Blvd, Pleasanton, CA in Pleasanton Ca. Jim’s is listed in Yelp as traditional American food.

The Restaurant
When I first stepped into the place it was after the noon rush. The restaurant is small but seating was no problem at that time. If you’re arriving at one of the rush hour times seating might be a problem. But I can assure you that the wait will be worth it.
Wait Staff
We have had a different server each time we have eaten at Jim’s Country Style Restaurant and all have been friendly and very helpful. I like that they offer a point of view on the various sandwiches and breakfast items that they offer. One thing that I have picked up is that they are very flexible around what your needs might be.
Everything is an option
On my latest trip, I had ordered French fries with my sandwich and I always like Tabasco on my fries. I mentioned that I had a thought about the fries with tabasco and some ranch dressing to dip them into might be something like Hot Wings with their hot/cool nature. Our server overheard our conversation and said do you want some ranch dressing and produced it in a snap.
Revelations walking to the table
As we walk to our table I like to look at what others have ordered. I noticed that one such person at the next table had hash brown potatoes with his Linguica sandwich. I mentioned to our waitress that I didn’t know that hash brown potatoes could be an optional side. Our waitress replied that all things were an option in Jim’s Country Style Restaurant. Excellent.
