No Sugar Added Summer Drinks For kids

No Sugar Added Summer Drinks For kids with diabetes are a must. As a kid, I did not have to worry about sugar but early on in my life, I crossed over into a no sugar managed life. I don’t think I could live on diet cola alone. For me, I have to have a variety of flavored drinks to make life interesting for my taste buds.

For you moms that have diabetic kids at home. The making of Kool-Aid at home can be a first “cooking lesson” for the very young. Also, Kool-Aid can be dressed up with citrus, lemon, lime or orange slices to give it something more like a punch type feel. Also Kool-Aid liquids are sugar-free and come in all the usual flavors.

Making a sugar free kool-aid drink is really easy

  1. Buy the flavor packs of your choice(make sure they don’t contain sugar) and then open a pack of Kool-aid and put it in a pitcher that will hold 2 quarts of water.
  2. Open 7 packs of pink and 7 packs of blue sweetener and pour into the pitcher.
  3. Fill with two quarts of water and stir with a large spoon.
  4. Add lemon, lime, or orange slices if you are so inclined.
  5. Serve over crushed ice for the soda type experience or over cubed ice.
